Ingredients:

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk of choice (dairy or non
dairy)
2 tablespoons melted butter or oil of choice

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat a waffle iron to medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, rolled oats, ground flaxseed, baking powder, baking soda and salt until combined.
In a separate bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the milk and melted butter or oil until combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined (do not overmix).
Grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or butter if needed. Pour about 1/3 cup of batter onto the waffle iron and cook for about 5 minutes or until golden brown and crisp on the outside. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve warm with desired toppings such as maple syrup or fresh fruit. Enjoy!
