Welsh Beef with Ale Sauce

This traditional Welsh dish is sure to tantalize your taste buds! Start by cooking lean beef steak in a skillet before adding onion, garlic, tomato puree, ale or stout beer, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to create a delicious ale sauce that will coat your steak perfectly! Ingredients:

200g of lean beef steak
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of tomato puree
200ml of ale or stout beer
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef steak and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Add the onion and garlic to the same pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the tomato puree and cook for another minute.
Pour in the ale or stout beer and bring to a simmer. Add the Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return the beef steak to the pan and simmer for another 10-15 minutes until cooked through and tender. Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables if desired.
