Ingredients:

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 ounces pork belly or pork shoulder, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons pate or liverwurst spread
2 tablespoons mayonnaise or aioli sauce
4 ounces pickled vegetables (such as carrots and daikon radish)
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves and stems
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
4 French rolls or baguettes

Cooking Instructions:

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork slices and cook for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned.
In a small bowl, mix together the fish sauce, sugar, garlic powder and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the pork slices and cook for an additional minute until the pork is cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
Spread each French roll or baguette with pate or liverwurst spread and mayonnaise or aioli sauce. Top each roll with cooked pork slices and pickled vegetables. Sprinkle with cilantro leaves and stems and mint leaves. Serve immediately.
