Ingredients:

200g of cooked white rice
100g of shrimp, peeled and deveined
50g of mushrooms, sliced thinly
2 tablespoons of fish sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Cooking Instructions:

In a medium bowl, combine the cooked white rice with the fish sauce, sugar and garlic powder. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked through and the mushrooms are tender.
Place a sheet of parchment paper on top of a steamer basket or plate that fits inside your steamer pot. Spoon about ¼ cup of the rice mixture onto the parchment paper in an even layer. Spread it out into an oval shape about 4 inches wide by 6 inches long.
Place the shrimp and mushroom mixture on top of the rice layer in an even layer. Fold up two sides of parchment paper to cover the filling completely then fold up two sides to form a roll shape. Secure with kitchen twine if needed.
Place steamer basket or plate inside your steamer pot filled with water up to just below where your steamer basket sits so that it does not touch the water directly (you can also use a bamboo steamer). Cover pot with lid and bring water to boil over high heat then reduce heat to low and steam for 10 minutes or until cooked through (you can test by inserting toothpick into center).
