Ingredients:

½ cup dried fava beans
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Soak the fava beans in water overnight. Drain and rinse the beans before cooking.
Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the drained fava beans to the pan and stir to combine with the garlic and oil.
Add enough water to cover the beans by about an inch and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 25-30 minutes until the beans are tender but not mushy.
Add turmeric powder, salt, and pepper to taste and stir to combine. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes before removing from heat.
