Ingredients:

1 large potato (400g), cut into chips
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 fillet of white fish (150g), such as cod or haddock
2 tablespoons of plain flour
1 teaspoon of paprika
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark
Place the chips onto a baking tray and drizzle with the oil. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Meanwhile, season the fish with salt and pepper and coat in the flour mixed with paprika.
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the fish for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
Serve the fish with the chips and your choice of accompaniments such as tartar sauce or ketchup.
