Ingredients:

100g spaghetti
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup cooked chickpeas (or canned)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons water or vegetable broth
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions. Drain the cooked spaghetti and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the cooked chickpeas to the skillet and stir to combine with the garlic mixture. Cook for about 5 minutes until heated through.
Add the tomato paste and water or vegetable broth to the skillet and stir to combine with the chickpeas mixture. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and stir to combine with the chickpea sauce mixture until all of the spaghetti is coated in sauce. Cook for about 5 minutes until heated through. Serve immediately while hot!
