Ingredients:

1 eel (Lampreia), cleaned and cut into pieces
2 potatoes, peeled and diced
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika powder
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon ground coriander seed powder
1 cup tomato sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
Add the potatoes and cook for 5 minutes until lightly browned.
Add the eel pieces to the skillet along with the paprika powder, cumin, coriander seed powder, salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until the eel is lightly browned.
Pour in the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Serve hot with crusty bread or over cooked rice or pasta if desired. Enjoy!
