Ingredients:

2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
2 tablespoons of jelly or jam of your choice
1 egg
2 tablespoons of milk or cream
1 teaspoon of sugar or honey (optional)
½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional)
Pinch of salt (optional)
1 tablespoon of butter for cooking
¼ cup of fresh fruit such as blueberries, strawberries, raspberries or banana slices (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg, milk or cream, sugar or honey (if using), cinnamon (if using), and salt (if using). Set aside.
Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the jelly on the other slice. Place them together to make a sandwich.
Dip the sandwich into the egg mixture until it is fully coated. Let it sit for a few minutes so that the egg mixture can soak into the bread.
