2 tablespoons of peanut butter
2 tablespoons of jelly or jam of your choice
1 egg
2 tablespoons of milk or cream
1 teaspoon of sugar or honey (optional)
½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional)
Pinch of salt (optional)
1 tablespoon of butter for cooking
½ cup of fresh fruit such as berries or sliced banana for topping

Cooking Instructions:

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg, milk or cream, sugar or honey (if using), ground cinnamon (if using), and salt (if using). Set aside.
Spread the peanut butter and jelly on one side each slice of bread. Place the slices together to form a sandwich.
Dip the sandwich into the egg mixture until it is fully coated. Let it sit for a few minutes so that the egg mixture can be absorbed by the bread.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the sandwich to the pan and cook for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
Serve immediately topped with fresh fruit such as berries or sliced banana and enjoy!
