Ingredients:

1 tablespoon olive oil
½ small onion, sliced into thin strips
½ green bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon dried oregano leaves
2 ounces thinly sliced steak (such as sirloin or ribeye)
2 slices provolone cheese
2 slices Italian bread or hoagie roll

Cooking Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the garlic powder, black pepper, and oregano to the skillet and stir to combine.
Add the steak to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
Place the provolone cheese on top of the steak and let it melt for 1 minute.
Place the steak mixture onto one slice of bread or roll and top with the other slice of bread or roll. Serve immediately.
