Ingredients:

75g dried pasta of your choice
1/4 onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
50g minced beef or pork
1 teaspoon dried oregano or basil leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
100ml tomato passata or canned tomatoes
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

Bring a pot of salted water to the boil and add the pasta. Cook according to packet instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced beef or pork to the pan and cook until browned, about 5 minutes more. Season with oregano or basil leaves, salt and pepper to taste.
Pour in the tomato passata or canned tomatoes and stir to combine everything together. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the pan and stir through until everything is combined together well. Sprinkle over Parmesan cheese if desired before serving hot.
