Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
2 tablespoons all
purpose flour
1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons heavy cream or half
and
half cream
Salt and pepper to taste
4 ounces prepared pizza dough
1/2 cup shredded fontina cheese

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or olive oil.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic powder and oregano leaves and cook for another minute.
Add the flour to the skillet and stir until combined. Slowly add the chicken broth while stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until combined. Set aside while you prepare the pizza dough.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into an 8-inch circle or square shape (depending on your preference). Place on prepared baking sheet and spread mushroom mixture over top of dough evenly leaving a 1-inch border around edges of dough uncovered by topping mixture. Sprinkle fontina cheese over top of mushroom mixture evenly then bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing into wedges or squares to serve warm!
