Ingredients:

50g butter
1 small onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons all
purpose flour
250ml vegetable stock or chicken stock
150ml milk or cream
200g frozen corn kernels
Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Heat the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the thyme and pepper and cook for another minute. Stir in the flour until combined.
Gradually add the stock and milk while stirring constantly to avoid lumps from forming. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until thickened slightly.
Add the corn kernels and simmer for another 10 minutes until cooked through. Season with salt to taste.
Serve hot with crusty bread or crackers if desired. Enjoy!
