Ingredients:

1/2 cup all
purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled slightly
2 tablespoons warm water
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
2 tablespoons minced onion or shallot
1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

In a medium bowl, combine the flour and salt. Stir in the melted butter until it is evenly distributed.
In a small bowl, combine the warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until the yeast has dissolved and the mixture is foamy.
Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combined. Knead for 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise for 30 minutes in a warm place until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil or butter.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into an 8 inch (20 cm) circle about 1/4 inch (0.5 cm) thick. Sprinkle with minced onion or shallot and poppy seeds if desired.
Transfer to prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until golden brown on top and bottom. Let cool before serving or storing in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or up to 5 days in the refrigerator..
