Ingredients:

2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons mirin (sweet rice wine)
2 tablespoons sake (rice wine)
1 teaspoon sugar or honey
2 ounces ramen noodles (or other type of Asian noodles)
1/2 cup cooked chicken, sliced or shredded (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

In a medium pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil over high heat.
Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, mirin, sake and sugar or honey and stir to combine.
Reduce the heat to low and add the ramen noodles. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the noodles are cooked through.
Add the cooked chicken if desired and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings such as green onions, boiled eggs, nori seaweed and/or pickled ginger.
