Ingredients:

2 potatoes, boiled and mashed
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon chaat masala powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil for shallow frying For the Tamarind Chutney:
2 tablespoons tamarind paste
2 tablespoons jaggery or sugar
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon cumin powder
Salt to taste

Cooking Instructions:

In a bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, onion, coriander leaves, cumin powder, chaat masala and salt. Mix well until everything is combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a patty. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and shallow fry the patties until golden brown on both sides. Remove from heat and set aside.
To make the tamarind chutney, mix together the tamarind paste, jaggery or sugar, red chilli powder, cumin powder and salt in a bowl until everything is combined.
Serve the aloo tikki with tamarind chutney as a snack or light meal. Enjoy!
