Ingredients:

2 slices of whole wheat bread
2 slices of ham
1 slice of Gouda cheese
1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

Toast the two slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet over medium heat until golden brown.
Spread the Dijon mustard on one side of each slice of toast.
Place the ham and cheese on one slice of toast and top with the other slice.
If desired, spread butter or margarine on the outside of the sandwich before cooking.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in it. Cook for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
