Ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
½ cup plain yogurt or buttermilk
¼ cup water

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter or cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add the olive oil, cheese, yogurt or buttermilk and water and mix until combined. The dough should be slightly sticky but not too wet.
Transfer the dough to the prepared cake pan and spread it out evenly with your hands or a spatula.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool before slicing and serving warm with butter or jam if desired.
