Ingredients:

200g all
purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled slightly
150ml buttermilk or plain yogurt
1 large egg
100g chopped walnuts

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, buttermilk or yogurt and egg until combined. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
