Ingredients:

75g butter, softened
50g caster sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
125g plain flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons milk
1 pear, peeled and diced into small cubes

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking tray with butter or line it with parchment paper.
In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture along with the milk and mix until combined.
Fold in the diced pear pieces into the cookie dough mixture until evenly distributed throughout.
Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking tray, leaving enough space between each cookie for them to spread during baking. Bake in preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown on top. Allow to cool before serving.
