Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 cup canned crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
4 cooked meatballs (homemade or store
bought)
2 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic powder, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for another minute.
Add the tomato paste and crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce to the skillet and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened slightly. Remove from heat.
Place the cooked meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Top with the tomato sauce mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot!
