Ingredients:

200g shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
2 tablespoons all
purpose flour
500ml chicken stock or vegetable stock
250ml heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the shrimp, paprika, and thyme and cook for another 3 minutes.
Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine. Cook for another minute or two until the flour is lightly browned.
Slowly pour in the chicken stock while stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add the cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for another 10 minutes until thickened slightly. Serve hot with crusty bread or crackers on the side.
