Ingredients:

100g all
purpose flour
50g sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled slightly
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons almonds, chopped

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, egg and vanilla extract until combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the chopped almonds.
Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet and shape into an 8-inch log about 1 inch thick. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing into 12 slices about ½ inch thick each. Place slices back onto baking sheet cut side down and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until lightly golden brown on both sides. Let cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container for up to one week.
