Ingredients:

50g ground pork
50g peeled and deveined shrimp, chopped finely
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of grated ginger root
2 tablespoons of chopped scallions or chives
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
24 wonton wrappers

Cooking Instructions:

In a medium bowl, combine the ground pork, shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger root, scallions or chives and cornstarch. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Gently press down on the mixture to flatten it slightly.
Bring the edges of the wrapper up around the filling and pinch together at the top to form a dumpling shape. Place on a greased baking sheet or steamer basket.
Heat 1 inch of water in a large pot over medium heat until boiling. Place steamer basket over boiling water and cover with lid. Steam for 15 minutes or until dumplings are cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Serve hot with soy sauce for dipping if desired.
