2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 boneless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
½ cup of Italian
style breadcrumbs
¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
¼ teaspoon of dried oregano leaves
½ cup of marinara sauce
2 slices of provolone cheese

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the chicken strips in a shallow bowl and drizzle with the olive oil. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
In another shallow bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder and oregano leaves. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
Dip each chicken strip into the breadcrumb mixture and coat evenly on both sides. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown on top.
Toast the two slices of white bread in a toaster or under a broiler for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden brown on both sides.
Spread each slice with marinara sauce and top with one slice of provolone cheese each. Place two chicken strips onto each slice and top with remaining provolone cheese slices.
Place both slices onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil and bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely and is bubbly on top. Serve immediately!
