Ingredients:

1 cup of cooked chicken, shredded
1/2 cup of onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup of parsley, finely chopped
1/4 cup of cream cheese
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups of all
purpose flour
3 tablespoons of butter, melted
1 egg

Cooking Instructions:

In a bowl mix together the chicken, onion, parsley, cream cheese, garlic powder and salt and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
In a separate bowl mix together the flour and butter until it forms a crumbly texture.
Add the egg to the flour mixture and knead until it forms a dough.
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and roll each part into a ball shape.
Flatten each ball with your hands and place 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center of each flattened ball.
Fold up the edges to form a ball shape again and press lightly to seal it shut.
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat and fry each coxinha for about 5 minutes or until golden brown on all sides.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or salsa!
