Ingredients:

150g lean beef, cubed
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger paste or grated ginger root
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
2 tablespoons tomato paste or puree
¼ cup water
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cubed beef and cook until lightly browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook until softened. Add the garlic and ginger paste or grated ginger root and cook for another minute.
Add the cumin, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, tomato paste or puree and water to the skillet. Stir to combine all of the ingredients together.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to combine with the other ingredients in the pan. Simmer for 10 minutes or until all of the ingredients are cooked through and sauce has thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
