Ingredients:

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
250g lean ground beef or turkey mince
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
¼ cup water
4 hamburger buns or rolls of your choice

Cooking Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper and cook for another minute.
Add the ground beef or turkey mince to the skillet and cook until browned. Break up any large chunks with a wooden spoon.
Add the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and apple cider vinegar to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for another minute or two until everything is well combined.
Add the water to the skillet and stir to combine everything together. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until most of the liquid has been absorbed by the meat mixture.
Serve on hamburger buns or rolls of your choice with your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes or cheese if desired! Enjoy!
