Ingredients:

150g lean ground beef
1/2 cup dry lentils
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup diced celery
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
2 cups beef broth or stock
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the lentils, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, oregano and thyme to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until vegetables are softened.
Pour in the beef broth or stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes or until lentils are tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until heated through. Serve hot.
