Ingredients:

2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons of butter, melted
1 large green tomato, sliced into 1/4 inch thick slices
1/4 cup of all
purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil for frying
4 tablespoons of pimento cheese spread

Cooking Instructions:

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt.
In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Mix until combined.
Dip each tomato slice into the flour mixture and coat both sides evenly. Place the coated tomato slices in the skillet with the melted butter. Fry for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from heat and set aside on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Spread one tablespoon of pimento cheese onto each slice of bread. Place two fried green tomato slices onto one slice of bread and top with the other slice to make a sandwich.
