Ingredients:

1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup oats
1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk of choice (dairy or non
dairy)
2 tablespoons melted butter or oil of choice (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, oats, flaxseed meal, baking powder and salt.
Add the milk and melted butter or oil (if using) and whisk until combined. Let the batter sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil if needed. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the skillet and swirl it around to spread it out evenly. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown on the bottom then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes on the other side. Repeat with remaining batter.
Serve warm with desired toppings such as fresh fruit, yogurt or nut butter. Enjoy!
