Ingredients:

100g all
purpose flour
50g butter, softened
50g brown sugar
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt
75g chopped dried figs

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet with butter or cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolk and milk until combined.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the chopped figs.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top. Allow to cool before serving.
