Ingredients:

500g beef mince
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
400g tinned chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato puree
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
250g pappardelle pasta

Cooking Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the beef mince to the pan and cook until browned, about 8 minutes. Break up any large chunks of mince with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
Add the tinned tomatoes, tomato puree, oregano, basil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 45 minutes stirring occasionally until the sauce has thickened.
Meanwhile bring a large pot of salted water to the boil and add the pappardelle pasta. Cook according to packet instructions until al dente then drain well.
Serve the beef ragù over the cooked pappardelle pasta and enjoy!
