Ingredients:

1 hot dog sausage
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup all
purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup cold water

Cooking Instructions:

In a medium bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, garlic powder and onion powder. Stir until combined.
Add the vegetable oil and cold water to the dry ingredients and mix until a thick batter forms.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
Dip each hot dog sausage into the batter and carefully place in the hot oil. Fry for about 5 minutes or until golden brown on all sides. Remove from heat and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite condiments or dipping sauces.
