Ingredients:

200g all
purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric powder (optional)
150ml warm water or as needed to make a soft dough
Vegetable oil for deep frying

Cooking Instructions:

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and turmeric powder.
Gradually add the warm water and knead until you have a soft dough. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball. Flatten each ball slightly with your hands and make a hole in the center using your thumb or finger.
Heat enough oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Gently drop the doughnuts into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or condiment of choice!
