Ingredients:

200g all
purpose flour
100g sugar
2 eggs
100ml milk
50g butter
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
50g mixed dried fruits and nuts (such as raisins, currants, almonds) For the Glaze:
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons water

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, baking powder and vanilla extract until well combined.
Fold in the mixed dried fruits and nuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
To make the glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened slightly. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before pouring over the cooled cake.
Serve warm or at room temperature with your favorite accompaniments such as whipped cream or ice cream! Enjoy!
