Ingredients:

500g salted codfish (bacalhau)
2 potatoes, peeled and diced into small cubes
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped

Cooking Instructions:

Soak the salted codfish in cold water for at least 8 hours or overnight. Drain and flake the fish into small pieces.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sauté the garlic and onion until softened. Add the potatoes and cook for 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
Add the flaked codfish to the skillet and season with paprika powder, black pepper and parsley. Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until heated through.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before forming into small balls using your hands or a spoon.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with some additional olive oil and fry each ball until golden brown on all sides (about 3-4 minutes). Serve hot with your favorite side dishes!
